Yes. Every HOTTIE includes the Hugo Frosch hot water bottle insert.

Yes. We use 100% genuine Australian merino sheepskin.
5. Are your covers patched or made from offcuts?
No. We use one whole A grade merino sheepskin per HOTTIE, so there are no sneaky patches or scrappy panels.

We use a Hugo Frosch German made thermoplastic bottle (premium quality and durability).

14. Can I use it as a cold pack?
We recommend using HOTTIE for warmth. If you need cold therapy, use a dedicated cold pack designed for that purpose.
USE + SAFETY
15. How do I fill it safely?
Use hot water (not boiling). Hold the bottle upright by the neck, fill to around two thirds, screw the cap on firmly, then check for leaks before use.
16. Can I use boiling water?
No. Use hot water, not boiling water.
17. How full should I fill it?
About two thirds full is ideal. This allows flexibility and reduces pressure.
18. Should I squeeze air out before closing?
Yes. Gently lower the bottle until water reaches the neck, then carefully screw the cap on to remove excess air.
19. Is it safe to sleep with?
Yes when used correctly. Keep it outside direct bare skin contact, don't overfill, and always ensure the cap is secure and leak free.
20. Can children use it?
Yes with adult supervision. For young children, keep it nearby for warmth rather than direct contact.
21. Can I use it during pregnancy?

25. How do I clean the sheepskin cover?
Spot clean gently with a slightly damp cloth. Let it air dry naturally away from heat and sunlight. Lightly brush once dry.
26. Can I machine wash it?
No. Machine washing can damage the wool and the leather backing.
27. Can I dry it in the sun or near a heater?
No. Let it air dry naturally in the shade. Heat can dry out and damage the leather backing.
28. Will the wool shed?
A small amount of shedding can happen at first. It is normal for natural fibres and settles with use.
29. Will the wool flatten over time?
Like any premium sheepskin, the fibres can compress slightly with heavy use. A gentle brush helps lift and refresh it.
30. Does it smell like sheepskin?
It's genuine natural sheepskin. Any natural scent is subtle and typically fades over time.
31. Can I use oils or sprays on the wool?
We don't recommend it. Spot clean only and keep it natural.
32. How should I store my HOTTIE?
Store it dry, in a cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not store the bottle filled with water.
